Product Introduction
A wheel lug stud is a large bolt that is permanently mounted to a vehicle's wheel hub, protruding through the brake rotor to provide a threaded post for lug nuts to thread onto, thereby securing the wheel and tire assembly to the vehicle. These metal rods are integral to the wheel's attachment, remaining in place when the wheel is removed, which is a key advantage for tire changes and wheel servicing compared to vehicles that use wheel bolts, which screw directly into the hub.
Easier and Faster Wheel Changes:
With wheel studs, you can simply lift the wheel onto the studs, which hold the wheel in position, rather than having to hold the wheel and align it with lug bolt holes.
Enhanced Safety and Stability:
Studs ensure proper wheel-to-hub contact and prevent the wheel from shifting, which can happen with improperly installed lug bolts.
Flexibility for Wheel Spacers:
Wheel studs allow you to use different thicknesses of wheel spacers without needing to purchase extended lug bolts.
Durability and Longevity:
Stronger, aftermarket wheel studs are available and are more resistant to over-tightening. They are also replaceable, and if the threads strip, only the stud and nut need to be replaced, not the entire hub, as might be the case with lug bolts.
Cost Savings on Hub Repair:
Since studs are replaceable, they protect the hub from wear, which can occur from frequent installation and removal of lug bolts.
Simpler Installation Process:
The fixed studs provide a clear alignment point for the wheel, making the process of putting the wheel back on much quicker and more efficient.

Product Uses
Wheel studs are threaded bolts that secure a wheel to a vehicle's hub, with the primary application being to provide a safe, reliable, and easy mounting point for a vehicle's wheel and tire assembly. They are frequently used in vehicles to simplify tire changes by keeping the studs fixed to the hub, allowing the wheel and tire to be lifted and positioned onto the studs, and then secured with lug nuts.
Product Operate Guide
Tools: Use a C-clamp or a specialized wheel stud installer tool to draw the new stud into the hub.
Seating: Tighten the installer tool or lug nut to pull the new stud until its collar is flush with the back of the hub.
Wheel Reattachment:
Start lug nuts by hand to avoid cross-threading.
Snug the lug nuts, but do not fully tighten them.
Lower the vehicle to the ground.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications for proper safety and wheel security.
